Two Berlin-based dancers (m/f) needed for Tanztheaterstück.

Necessity Arts Collective (NAC) is a platform for inter-disciplinary collaboration between international artists. We imaginatively overcome limits to bring inventive storytelling to our audiences because for us, artistic communication is a necessity, and necessity is the mother of invention!

Rudyard Kipling’s The Just-So Stories in dance, music and spoken text. Two dancers, one guitarist, one clarinetist and one actor will tell the stories of
- How the Camel got his Hump
- How the Rhinoceros got his Skin
- How the Leopard got his Spots
in a presentation for children ages 6 – 10, to be performed in schools in Berlin and Nürnberg. The original music for this production includes many opportunities for the audience to sing along. Performances will be in German (dancers do not need to speak on stage). Support for this project is provided by Tanzzentrale Nürnberg, the city of Nürnberg, and akademie : der steg / Internationales Kammermusikfestival Nürnberg.

7. – 23. August: Rehearsals in Berlin – 3 hrs/day, 6 days/week
24. – 31. August: No rehearsals
1. – 7. September: Rehearsals at Tanzzentrale Nürnberg, 6 hrs/day
7. September: Informal showing at Tanzzentrale Nürnberg
8. – 12. September: 5 – 10 performances at schools in Nürnberg and surrounding area.
13. September: Public performance in Nürnberg in connection with the Internationales Kammermusikfestival Nürnberg
15. – 21. September: 5 – 10 performances at schools in Berlin.

80 € per performance (at least 10 performances)
Travel costs to and from Nürnberg
Lodging in Nürnberg
Stipend in Nürnberg: 240 €
